Sooooo this is how the day went down, yo. Got up this morning and got to Wash U by 11:30. Sat through a lecture about financial aid and assistance, and then i went and sat against a wall for a while to wait for 1 o' clock to roll around (The portfolio reviews didn't start until then). So who shows up but Alex ^^ I was hoping he would, cuz he's so good and he really needs to get himself out there and start looking and figure out where to go, cuz he's just got so much talent. Anywho, so 1 finally rolled around and up i hopped to get to the Wash U booth before the line got too huge, i HAD to at least go there, since Wash U is where i really wish i could go. So when they had us form 4 lines for the 4 people up there that you could choose from to examine your Portfolio, i chose this one guy on the end cuz he looked like fun and he had a cool bow tie. So i get in his line and i'm waiting and i'm waiting, and Alex had gone into a different line and his went faster and he got through it faster and so he went on, and when it finally got to be my turn, i find out, this is the DEAN of the art college there at Wash U. So he's going through my portfolio and i'm freaking out thinking he's going to get done and rip into it, and he got done and looked at me and he's like..."You have EXCELLENT work!" and i'm like BUHHHHHHH?!? O.O And then he went through and pointed out all the ones he liked the most and told me stuff and he suggested that i try doing video work as well o.O Apparently he believes i would be very good at it. And he wants me to join the summer program, which is basically college courses during the summer and you can stay on campus, and it's worth college credit. Anyway, he thinks i should take the digital photography and the drawing courses. I'm thinking about it, but its like...between $2000 and $4000....but my mom says we'll make it work. Anyway so after that i visited a few more colleges like Maryville University and stuff and learned some more, didn't hear a single bad thing, which made me UBER happy because i think i would have cried, lol. So yup, thats how that went. ^^
